CrossRoad Fellows

A new program that aims to produce lay leaders by equipping students with knowledge of the Orthodox theological and spiritual tradition, mentored support in and through their parish, and the skills for community engagement.

Program Overview

Three Certificates

  • Sequential Certificates in Orthodox Purpose, Tradition, and Praxis
  • Can be completed in two or three years

Synchronous Online Learning Community

  • 1 hour of synchronous class time Tuesday evenings
  • 1 hour of synchronous small group time during the week
    (to be coordinated with a small group of peers)

Asynchronous Learning Online & In Your Parish

  • 2 hours of video/audio content a week
  • Reflective coursework outside of class
  • 45 minutes every two weeks with your priest or other appointed parish mentor
  • Yearlong Practicum at your parish during Certificate 3

Cost

  • Through grant funding, in this start-up pilot phase, accepted students receive full scholarships (value of $3,600 per certificate)
  • Student travel for two optional in-person gatherings is also fully funded
    • CrossRoad 2.0: March 18–22, 2026
    • Fellows Ministry Gathering: Fall 2026 (dates & location to be finalized)
