Finding Freedom in a Connected World
We are all so connected electronically – to our devices for work and leisure, to online content and instant news, and to relationships we maintain online. There are ways in which these connections are good; and there are ways in which they can actually bind us in unhelpful and unhealthy ways. What is real freedom in a world where we have access to so much? What is real connection when we are connected all the time?
Come join two wise teachers–the second director of CrossRoad and President of Orthodox Youth Ministries, Fr Nicholas Belcher, and our beloved Dr Albert Rossi–to explore the topic together with your amazing CR alumni community.
Dr. Albert Rossi
Dr. Rossi has taught at every summer of CrossRoad since it began in 2004. He serves as the resident Clinical Psychologist at St Vladimir’s Seminary, is retired Associate Professor of Psychology at Pace University, where he taught for 24 years, and has written two books, Becoming a Healing Presence and All Is Well. Dr. Rossi has a brief, bi–weekly podcast on Ancient Faith Radio titled Becoming a Healing Presence.
Father Nicholas Belcher
Father Nicholas Belcher, beloved second director of CrossRoad, currently serves as the pastor of St. George Orthodox Church of Little Falls, New Jersey and the chairperson of the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministries of the Antiochian Archdiocese and President of Orthodox Youth Ministries (OYM). He is a graduate of The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, and Saint Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary – where he now serves a Lecturer in Antiochian Liturgics.
