CrossRoad Summer Institute Program Staff — Paid Seasonal Internship

Join the CrossRoad Summer Team!

CrossRoad Institute is hiring 12 staff members for our 2027 summer sessions, where high school juniors and seniors explore the Orthodox Faith and grow in their pursuit of Christ. As part of a team that inspires and educates young people to lead lives of purpose, serve and strengthen Orthodox Christian parishes and institutions, and become engaged leaders in their communities and the world, you’ll have the opportunity to teach, mentor, and serve. Summer staff live in the dorms alongside participants and act as leaders and mentors, running program activities, sessions, discussions, and evening devotionals.

This is a seasonal contract position running from December 2026 through August 2027. Beginning in December, staff take part in paid virtual training (a mix of self-paced and live sessions) for about 2–4 hours per week, plus a required in-person training in January 2027. Each staff member is then assigned to two 10-day sessions of the CrossRoad Summer Institute.

Parenting Grant & Parish Ministry Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Parenting Grant & Parish Ministry Coordinator is responsible for driving the day-to-day execution, administration, and forward movement of CrossRoad Institute’s Parenting initiative and coordinating the annual Parish Ministry Gathering.

This is a highly organized, proactive project-management role designed to ensure that the Parenting initiative moves consistently from strategy to execution. The Coordinator owns the project plan, deadlines, stakeholder communication, grant deliverables, parish engagement, data tracking, event logistics, and internal coordination required to successfully carry out the work.

The Parenting Grant and Parish Ministry Coordinator will report to the Director of Research and Education Design/Parenting Project Director. The Parenting Director serves as the initiative’s content and curriculum leader, providing the research, theological, educational, and strategic thinking that shapes the work. The Coordinator turns that direction into an actionable plan and drives the work forward to completion.

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who enjoys taking a complex initiative with many moving pieces and creating the structure, communication, accountability, and follow-through necessary to make it happen.

Director of Development (Full-Time)

Help Inspire the Next Generation of Orthodox Christian Leaders

CrossRoad Institute equips Orthodox young people to engage questions of faith and purpose. Through immersive programs, thoughtful content, and formative community, we help young people discern lives of meaning in a noisy, distracted world. We also partner with parishes to support parents and lay leaders in this work.

To support continued growth, CrossRoad is seeking a relational and strategic Director of Development. This leader will be a compelling communicator and thoughtful listener who connects people to purpose, translating vision into sustainable support. The ideal candidate will be energized by building systems, cultivating donors, and aligning generosity with long-term impact.

This is a unique moment for CrossRoad Institute. With growing visibility, a strong national network, and a track record of transformative programming that has touched the lives of over 5,000 youth and young adults to date, the organization is poised to deepen and expand its base of philanthropic support in meaningful ways.
